Important Info

Runs every Saturday & Sunday at 11. Meeting place Niguliste 2, right in front of Tallinn tourism & information center!

NB! This tour is meant only for solo travelers & very small groups (up to 5PAX). The tour is based on donations that are accepted after the tour (1€ price is a booking fee).*

Groups bigger than 5pax should contact us at kadri@estadventures.ee to get a quote for a private tour or join us with 7€ per person.

This tour is meant to have big groups – that is the only way we can keep running them. If you do not like groups that are 30-40pax, please consider having a private tour.

About This Walking Tour

Our tour covers all the most important sights in Tallinn’s Old Town and will take you through the fascinating history from medieval times, through the Soviet period, and to modern Estonia.

We will travel through time and space and tell stories that will bring the city alive, rather than going that deep into dates and figures. In addition to history, you will hear awesome stories and legends to get a better idea of our people here and how we live.

Join us for a 2-hour English language guided tour of Tallinn’s stunning Old Town.

Our local storytellers are keeping things honest, simple & fun!

  • Personalized recommendations from the guide
Freedom Square
City’s fortification & Towers
The Danish King’s Garden
Toompea’s Castle
Nevsky Cathedral
St. Mary’s Church
Viewing Platforms
Town Hall Square

The exact route might differ depending on the weather, what’s happening in the city (construction works, etc), or the guide.

Is this tour wheelchair friendly?

We are so sad to announce but it is not. It goes through the streets of the old town and up to Toompea with a lot of stairs.

How much should we donate?

The donation amount is everyone’s personal decision, but typically people donate 10-20€ per person.

Are there any food/toilet stops on the way?

We do not do any toilet or food stops during this tour.

Will we pass an ATM?

Yes! Kindly ask your guide to point out the direction if you don’t have cash with you!

Do you accept donations via card?

No! We accept donations only in cash. Please make sure you have enough €’s with you to leave your donation to the guide!

If I don’t have anything to donate?

Then please be kind enough and don’t join these tours. If your guide does 2h of hard work with the group & you leave nothing, it shows a huge disrespect to the guide and her/his work. These tours are free to join, however, if you stay on the tour, donations are obligatory.
